We are pleased to present the Annual Report 2025-2026 of Gono Unnayan Prochesta, incorporating
notable achievements, learnings, and experiences from the reporting period. The report categorizes all
of Gono Unnayan Prochesta ‘s programmes and projects into five main categories: Economic, Social,
Health, Education and Support Programmes like Microfinance Programmes, Livestock (goat breeding
and poultry) and Pisci-culture, Afforestation, Peace Centre, Education, Uplifting the Quality of the
Lives of the Elderly People Programme (UQLEP), Disaster Management, GUP Physiotherapy and
Rehabilitation Centre (GPRC), Annual Eye Camp, Capacity Building through Training Centre, ENRICH
(Somriddhi) Programme and major projects such as ENRICH (Samridhi), RAISE, Sanitation, Drinking
Water and Income Generating Activities Project with Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF), Bangladesh
Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Human Capital Development Project (BD Rural WASH for
HCD) with PKSF, Field Level Water Quality Testing Project (HYSAWA),Collaborative research on
Evaluation Nara Women’s University (NWU), Japan etc.
• Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,Gono Unnayan Prochesta’s activities in this
reporting period were less impacted compared to the previous year. The report emphasizes the alignment
of its achievements with the planned activities for the year 2025-2026, attributing the success to the
collective efforts of all stakeholders of Gono Unnayan Prochesta.The team demonstrated confidence and
commitment in meeting community needs and honoring commitments to the people.
• We extend our gratitude to the relevant ministries and government departments of Bangladesh, including
the Department of Forestry,Department of Livestock Services, Department of Education, Department of
Social Welfare, NGO Affairs Bureau, Joint Stock Company, Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA),
Local Administration, and Local Government Authority for their essential assistance, broad support,
and cooperative efforts in implementing Gono Unnayan Prochesta ‘s planned activities.
• Special appreciation is also extended to international organizations, development partners, and donors,
particularly PKSF, Banks, HYSAWA, and NGO Foundation, for their sincere assistance and consistent
cooperation. Additionally, we acknowledge the Nara Women University, Japan, for their collaboration
in joint research activities within Gono Unnayan Prochesta ‘s working areas, contributing to relevant
outcomes and findings.
• Our heartfelt thanks go to the esteemed members of the General Council and Executive Committee for
their untiring guidance and valuable suggestions in implementing Gono Unnayan Prochesta’s visionary
and creative activities. We acknowledge the change in leadership, welcoming our newly elected president,
Dr. Rasheda Akhtar, and expressing gratitude for the departing president’s great leadership and support.
• The report particularly documents key activities, presenting notable facts and figures through the use of
infographics, success stories and pictures for a compelling and insightful presentation.
