Mission Statement

Gono Unnayan Prochesta aims for sustainable development by ensuring food security, social justice, good
governance, and the rights of disadvantaged, deprived, and disaster-affected communities, particularly for
ultra-poor and destitute females and males, mothers and children, the elderly, physically challenged, beggars,
sex workers, transport workers, marginal farmers, landless people, fishermen, handicraft artisans, ethnic
minorities and transgender (third gender). Gono Unnayan Prochesta is committed to forming samities,
raising awareness, developing skills, promoting Income Generating Activities (IGA) through microfinance
programme and appropriate technologies, providing safe water, environmental

Organisational Vision

Gono Unnayan Prochesta, which aspires to become an independent organization, is dedicated to achieving
fairness, justice, peace and prosperity by implementing and dedicated to establishing justice, equality, peace
and prosperity through environmentally sustainable and environment friendly development programmes
including health, education, women’s empowerment and economic activities that blend indigenous culture
and traditions with modern technology.

It is my honor to present the Annual Report of Gono Unnayan Prochesta for the period July 2024 to June 2025. This report reflects the organization’s progress in advancing inclusive socio- economic development and underscores Gono Unnayan Prochesta’s continued role as a trusted and resilient community development organization in Bangladesh.Since it’s establishment in 1973, Gono Unnayan Prochesta has remained committed to empowering marginalized communities and promoting sustainable development.

We are happy to share the Annual Report 2024–2025 of Gono Unnayan Prochesta, which highlights our achievements, lessons, and experiences from the year. The report covers programmes in five main areas: Economic, Social, Health, Education, Agriclture and Support initiatives. These include Microfinance, livestock projects such as goat breeding and poultry, fish farming, tree planting, the Peace Centre, education programmes, disaster management, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, annual eye camps, capacity building, and the ENRICH/Somriddhi Programme.
