Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the economic activities of low income people in the country were disrupted, including their businesses and self employment activities. To keep the economic activities of the affected poor population going, the first and second phase activities of the Livelihood Restoration Loan (LRL) are being continued in the current year with the assistance of the Palli Karma- Sahayak Foundation. For LRL, 1st phase loan ceiling at the member level is up to Tk.1 lac, the loan tenure is 2 years and grace period is 6 months with the service charge of 18%.
In the fiscal year 2022-2023,a total of Tk. 2,02,05,000 (Taka Two Crore Two Lac and Five Thousand) has been distributed to a total of 260 members, including Tk. 1,99,05,000 (Taka One Crore Ninety Nine Lac and Five Thousand) to 257 female and Tk. 3,00,000 (Taka Three Lac ) among three male members. In the 2nd phase of LRL, the loan ceiling for this loan at the member level is up to Tk. 50,000, the loan tenure is 2 years and grace period is 6 months with the service charge of 4%. In the fiscal year 2022-2023, a total of Tk. 1,15,70,000 ( Taka One Crore Fifteen Lac and Seventy Thousand) has been distributed among 238 members, of which Tk. 1,15,20,000 (Taka One Crore Fifteen Lac and Twenty Thousand) to 237 female and Tk. 50,000 to one male member. In the 1st and 2nd phases of LRL , a total of Tk. 3,17,75,000 (Taka Three Crore Seventeen Lac and Seventy Five Thousand) has been distributed among a total of 498 members during the fiscal year 2022-2023.
