GUP sees women as a key factor of bringing changes and works towards the full realization of the women’s vital role and needs, both within the family, and the community as a whole seeking to uplift their overall socio-economic position.

Gender Equity is one of the core themes of GUP activities, accordingly GUP considers gender as a crosscutting issue in all of its development efforts. In facilitating Income Generating Activities (IGA’s), GUP gives priority to women group members in providing loan, training and other technical supports.
